I graduated from the University of Southern California in 1998 with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Religion. Little did I know that my passion for people would lead me to a career in Real Estate beginning in 2003 with Prudential and Coldwell Banker. In 2012, I joined RE/MAX Advantage Realty, consistently ranking among the top 3 individual realtors for the brokerage and in the top 25 agents in RE/MAX statewide. In addition, I received various awards from RE/MAX International. Over the past 7 years, I have secured a spot as a member of the Baltimore Real Producers, placing among the Top 500 real estate agents in central Maryland out of over 12,000 agents, which ranks me in the top 4% regionally. In 2023, as in numerous years before, I achieved a top 1% ranking among all Realtors in Howard County.

In 2023, I joined Cummings & Co. Realtors, the East Coast's largest locally owned brokerage that thrives by staying at the forefront of the ever-evolving real estate landscape. With a focus on hard work, integrity, and client interests, my business prospered, boasting a remarkable 90% referral rate whereas the average Realtor gets 30% of their business via referrals. I am honored that people trust me to assist them with one of their largest investments.

My passion lies in helping clients achieve their real estate dreams. Whether guiding first-time homebuyers, assisting growing families in finding larger homes, or aiding downsizers, I take pride in delivering excellent service. My expertise extends to identifying lucrative investment properties. My experience over the years has led me to work with all types of people in various situations and I am proud to say that I have served them well. As a fluent Spanish speaker, I also enjoy helping the Hispanic community fulfill their real estate needs. I feel truly blessed and honored to help others and I find great joy in helping my buyers get the best deals and my sellers save and net the most money!

On a personal note, I cherish time with my family, playing sports, and attending boot camp classes at the gym. My interests include reading, traveling, the outdoors and attending church.

I was born and raised in Baltimore County. I graduated from the University of Maryland (Go Terps!) with a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics. I eventually set down roots in Montgomery County, where my husband and I have been living and raising our four children for the last 20 years.

I began my career as a Research Biologist, but when my husband started his home renovation business, I decided to obtain my real estate license in 2015. My years spent in the STEM field as a researcher and supervisor has helped me gain valuable skills to provide the best service to my clients. I pride myself on having a strong worth ethic, attention to detail and a positive attitude. My expertise and knowledge of the DC metro and surrounding areas is a great benefit to my clients, whether they’re looking to sell, buy, lease or invest. My goal is to make each and every client feel comfortable and at ease by providing clear communication and updates along the way.

As a Maryland native, I love that there is so much to do that is within driving distance from the DC metro area. I enjoy hiking and skiing with my family and spending relaxing weekends at the beach. I love working on home projects and have also recently begun raising chickens and expanding my garden.

Maria Biegel

Maria Biegel graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelors of Arts in Economics. She worked for many years with local banks in the Commercial Real Estate Lending departments. Maria earned her Master of Science degree in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins School of Continuing Studies. She recently passed her state real estate licensing exam and presently works part-time as support for the Zugell Jamison Group. Maria currently lives in Howard County with her husband and children. Her spare time is quickly filled with the children’s school activities and sports, as well as her volunteer work with Small Miracles Cat and Dog Rescue.

Carol Ott

Carol is a Maryland native and has lived in Harford, Montgomery, Carroll, and currently Howard County. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts. After working in management for a defense contractor and for the University of Maryland at Baltimore, Carol left full-time employment to be a full-time mom. Also a musician, she has taught piano part-time since 2010.

Carol enjoys spending time with her husband of 33 years and their 4 young adult children. She is active in her church as a vocalist and keyboardist/pianist, and is also a kitten "foster mom" for Finally Home Animal Rescue. Cooking, baking, and traveling are also favorite activities. She has always had an interest in real estate and is delighted to be on Zugell's team.

Katie Maslin

Katie Maslin is a native of Montgomery County, MD. She is a graduate of Salisbury University with a degree in Business Management and Spanish. Her love for real estate began in 2010 while working in a boutique brokerage for a high-producing principal broker and Realtor® in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire. When she transitioned back to Maryland, she worked for a new home sales company in Southern Maryland. In this role, she realized she was better suited for the resale market. Katie made the transition to work for a high-volume team in Washington, D.C. which ranked in the Top 150 real estate teams nationwide. She worked as the team's Listings Coordinator where she assisted with the sale of 300+ properties in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

In 2018, she transitioned to full-time MOM. But her love for real estate couldn’t keep her away for long. Four years later, she returned part-time. With 9+ years of experience, you can rest assured that Katie has the knowledge and skills needed to successfully assist in the coordination of your real estate transaction. On the Zugell Team, Katie works closely with our agents, clients, and all vendors (such as contractors, title companies, inspectors, lenders, and more) to manage the details of a real estate transaction. Katie manages all aspects of a transaction, from "Ratified Contract" to settlement, in a timely manner.

Katie is passionate about her faith. She loves spending quality time with her husband, two preschoolers, her large extended family, church family, and friends. She enjoys all things summer. A few of her favorite things to do are listening to music, watching movies, dancing, exercising, and taking lots of pictures.
